Kennicott Glacier Lodge is a premier Alaskan wilderness lodge in the Wrangell St. Elias National Park. The lodge is open seasonally from mid-May through September.

The Kennicott Glacier Lodge is reached by airplane (30 minutes from Chitina or 50 minutes from Gulkana), or by bus or automobile via the McCarthy Road, from Chitina (3 hours driving time).

The Kennicott Glacier Lodge offers a special vacation package rate which includes your room, three meals daily, transportation between McCarthy and Kennicott upon arrival and departure, and a guided tour of the Kennicott ghost town. Early reservations are required. Room only rates are also available.

This lodge is a historically rennovated replica of an early 1900s mining company building. Guests at Kennicott Glacier Lodge enjoy mountain or glacier views, private or shared baths, and family style dinners. Dinner at Kennicott Glacier Lodge is served at 7:00 pm. If you plan to have dinner at the lodge, you should arrive at the footbridge by 6:00pm.

This lodge is an excellent base for travelers wishing to explore the glaciers and wilderness of Wrangell St. Elias National Park. It is within walking distance of Kennicott's historic mining attractions.

The Kennicott Glacier Lodge provides van transportion to and from McCarthy (4 miles).The relics and renovated buildings in McCarthy and the glacier-view village of Kennicott truly have the feel of another era. McCarthy is the location of the nearest air service and also just a short walk from the end of Alaska's famed McCarthy Road.
